This robot is multiple small robots that interact to create an emergent intelligence. Each individual robot is not powerful enough to complete the goal assigned to it, but in conjunction with each other, they can accomplish complex goals. This has been compared to the way insects swarm in order to achieve their goals.

As the bots themselves can't see far enough to the target, they have to work together to find it, and drag it back to their base.
